About Zoraida<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Zoraida C\u00f3rdova started writing when she was thirteen years old and hasn\u2019t stopped. As a teen, she attended the National Book Foundation\u2019s writing camp. She studied English Literature and Latino Studies at Hunter College, and the University of Montana in Missoula, but neglected her classes in order to write the book that would be her debut novel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Since 2012, Zoraida has written more than two dozen novels and short stories, including The Inheritance of Orqu\u00eddea Divina<\/em>, Valentina Salazar Is Not a Monster Hunter<\/em>, and Star Wars: The High Republic: Convergence<\/em>. Her 2016 novel Labyrinth Lost<\/em>, book one in the Brooklyn Brujas trilogy, won an International Latino Book Award.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

When she\u2019s not writing, Zoraida serves on the board of We Need Diverse Books, cohosts the writing podcast, Deadline City, and develops intellectual property for Cake Creative & Electric Postcard Entertainment as a Tastemaker. She\u2019s the editor of the SFF anthology, Reclaim the Stars<\/em>, co-editor of the bestselling anthology Vampires Never Get Old<\/em>, and occasionally writes adult romance novels as Zoey Castile and other pseudonyms.<\/span><\/p>

Zoraida was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and calls New York City home. When she\u2019s not working, she\u2019s roaming the world in search of magical stories.<\/span><\/p>
